From Seattle to Sendai
Studio Five did not begin as a traditional agency.
In the late 1990s, it began as a small creative partnership in Seattle — a hands-on studio shaped by craft, curiosity, and independence. What started informally grew into a dedicated practice built on strong client relationships, thoughtful design, and a desire to do meaningful work well.
By 2004, Studio Five had taken shape as a creative studio in Seattle’s Pioneer Square district. Over time, our work expanded from design and brand projects into web platforms, user experience, and digital systems. As the web evolved, so did our role.
In 2018, that perspective deepened further with the establishment of our studio in Japan.
Working between the US and Japan transformed how we think about digital experiences. It required more than translation — it required understanding how users in different markets build trust, process information, and make decisions. That cross-cultural perspective became a defining part of our work.
Today, Studio Five operates at the intersection of strategy, design, and intelligent systems — building platforms that help organizations perform across markets and grow with greater clarity and confidence.
